Marufo 1 is located in the town of Quarteira in Portugal, from the outside, it is not much to look at but is always heaving with people! With that being said service is great and the food is excellent and priced very well. During my stay I visited here twice. I ordered the chicken and chips (obvs) when they placed the chicken on the table I thought it looked a little dry - I was wrong. It was very succulent and extremely flavorsome.
Having learned from watching the locals dining at Marufo 1, on my next visit, keen to stay close to the chicken LOL I ordered chicken (obvs) but opted for some seafood (grilled sardines) too because literally all of the locals were banging out the seafood. Sadly no photo of the sardines, I cant lie, I took them home in a doggy bag and ate them on the beach with a French stick the next day - tasted soooooo good.
To summarise, if this place is within a half hour 40 min drive you really must visit, great staff, great food and great service. I should point out, they are close between 3 and 7 in the afternoon I believe so it may be worth checking this before heading out!
