Asia De Cuba - Covent Garden

Asia De Cuba

When I first stepped foot in St Martins Lane Hotel I was instantly considering all of the nice photos I could get of myself with the wonderful backdrop of the lobby LOL.
Once I had stepped into the restaurant I was instantly enamoured with Asia De Cuba and had very high hopes for the service and the food which were equally as charming as the decor. Asia De Cuba can be on the pricey side but if you go on a little bargain hunt (as I so frequently do) you can often find a deal on Bookatable.

The Ropa Vieja Spring Rolls were served just how I like them - piping hot, my only criticism is that I wish there were more! I was super hungry this particular evening so thought I would try and pick the dish that looked most filling so I decided on the Mojo Duck Confit consisting of brown rice, orange, thai basil, thai chilli and (my new found best friend) a poached egg. I was so glad I had picked this dish as it was extremely flavoursome and the perfect portion size.

There is one particular dessert here that you must try! If you are full from your starter and main I would encourage you to make way for the MEXICAN DOUGHNUTS. I love doughnuts, I love them even more when they are served warm! Asia De Cuba offer Mexican Doughnuts with a choice of Caramel or Chilli Chocolate - naturally I tried both and was very pleased with my choice.

Asia De Cuba are part of the Morgans Hotel Group which have a number of other restaurants under their wing watch this space for more posts in 2017 - I feel my bi annual trip to The Sanderson for afternoon tea is going to be brought way forward this year !
